As an Associate Principal Engineer at Aristocrat, you will be responsible for driving the development of high-quality games across iOS and Android platforms using TypeScript. Your role will involve being a game enthusiast with a strong eye for detail, deeply invested in game UI/UX design, animation, audio/video integration, gameplay mechanics, and physics. You will play an individual contributor and a mentor to other team members, guiding them in implementing features and maintaining a high standard of code and design quality throughout the end-to-end game development process. Your key responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating strong expertise in TypeScript with hands-on experience in modern development practices. - Being proficient in scripting, animation, session management, and texture handling for interactive applications and games. - Ensuring memory and space optimization for high performance and efficiency. - Acting as a technical role model during critical situations, providing direction and resolution when necessary. - Showing a strong sense of ownership by prioritizing business and team objectives over personal interests. - Engaging with global stakeholders to understand project requirements, evaluate necessary changes, and ensure timely delivery. - Providing technical leadership and support throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for high-quality, timely product releases. - Assisting team members in resolving critical technical issues to minimize disruption to development timelines. - Offering mentorship, coaching, and training to foster continuous learning and professional growth within the team. - Collaborating closely with local and global leads/managers to effectively plan, estimate, and execute project tasks by communicating complexity and time constraints. - Conducting peer code reviews to maintain code quality, share knowledge, and uphold best practices. Qualifications: - 8+ years of work experience. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. - Experience in the gaming domain is a plus.
