You will lead the merchandising process for international and domestic clients, overseeing development to delivery. This involves managing buyer communications, product presentations, costing sheets, sampling trackers, sample approvals, and order follow-up. You will collaborate with clients, design, sampling, production, and quality teams to ensure product feasibility, cost optimization, and timely execution. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the T&A (Time & Action) calendar to ensure all deadlines are met. Your role will also involve analyzing trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to provide insights for product development. You will participate in buyer meetings, presentations, and fairs as required. In case of production-related issues such as quality defects, delays, or supply chain disruptions, you will use effective problem-solving skills and communication to address these challenges. Ensuring compliance with client quality standards and certification requirements will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be coordinating with vendors, mills, and internal departments for fabric and trim sourcing. Ideally, you should have a good understanding of textiles and fabric construction, experience in Textile Merchandising (specifically in the home textiles division), proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP software. Being adaptable to change, having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail are important qualities for this role. A proactive problem-solving approach and a team player mindset will also be beneficial. To excel in this role, you should hold a diploma or degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Fashion Design, Textile Technology, or a related field. While knowledge of pattern-making, garment construction, and fabric terminology is advantageous, a grasp of QA concepts like AQL inspection and quality control charts is essential.
