Advanced Quality Assurance Engineer Experience Range: 13-18 Yrs only Position Responsibilities: Deltek is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manual Quality Assurance Architect to lead and innovate our manual testing practices. This role goes beyond traditional testing stereotypes, requiring the ability to identify defects across all application layers and envision comprehensive test case structures for product features and enhancements. This role involves overseeing the creation of comprehensive test strategies, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and mentoring QA teams. Responsibilities: Develop and implement a QA strategy aligned with product goals. Design and oversee comprehensive test plans for high-complexity applications. Conduct defect analysis to identify root causes, trends, and patterns in software issues. Analyze fleet usage data to identify future investment opportunities. Continuously assess and enhance QA processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Establish and promote best practices for manual testing across various applications. Lead by example in manual testing, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Develop and utilize quality metrics to track and communicate the effectiveness of QA processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or CSTE (Certified Software Tester), are advantageous. Experience: 10+ years of experience in quality assurance with a strong focus on manual testing. Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., Project Accounting, Financial Accounting, Payroll, Inventory, Purchasing, or Time and Expense). Demonstrated ability to design and implement manual testing strategies for complex applications. Experience in process improvement and implementing QA best practices. Familiarity with automation tools or scripting languages is beneficial but not required. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail). Technical Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with Agile software development practices. Basic understanding of SQL and ability to write queries for data validation. Familiarity with tools like Postman for API testing. Basic understanding of version control systems like Git. Proficiency in creating complex test plans, test cases, and defect reports. Ability to use creative and analytical approaches to enhance the customer experience. Experience with performance and/or security testing is advantageous. Familiarity with automated tools such as Selenium, QTP or other automation tools.
