As an IT System Admin L3 at ESK Technologies, based in Hyderabad, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include incident management, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues, maintaining system performance, and ensuring the security and integrity of the IT environment. Here are the key responsibilities for this role: - Handle escalations from L1 support and ensure incidents are resolved within SLA. - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related incidents, logging and updating incidents in the ticketing system. - Perform regular maintenance of servers, storage systems, and network devices. - Install, configure, and update operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux, or any new OS. - Write automation scripts in python or bash and maintain ansible playbooks. - Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions in LDAP or other directory services. - Resolve escalated issues related to user access, password resets, and permissions. - Monitor user activity for security and compliance and enforce security policies. - Identify potential security threats and escalate them to the security team. - Use monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds to proactively identify system issues. - Suggest and implement system improvements to prevent recurring incidents. - Create and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Identify and escalate complex issues that require L3 or vendor support. - Collaborate with specialists or external vendors for hardware replacements or advanced configurations. Qualifications Required: - Deep understanding of Linux and other Operating Systems. - Proficient in Windows Server (2022) and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu). - Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. - Hands-on experience with user and group management. - Familiarity with backup software and disaster recovery best practices. - Experience with system monitoring tools and basic scripting. - Ability to prioritize tasks in high-pressure situations. - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Good communication skills for resolving issues with users and escalating to L3 or external vendors. - Experience with Storage Configurations LVM, NFS, Samba. - Networking Basics. - Hands-on Experience in handling VM's. - Ability to troubleshoot any kind of Linux or Windows Server issues quickly.
