Job Description

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for performing daily test case execution and filing bugs to ensure the quality of the product. Your role will include the following key responsibilities: - Complete the assigned test grid without deviations from given test steps - Locate the product failures and report them in the test repository and bug tracker To measure the outcomes of your work, you will be evaluated based on: - Proper update of the test repository and bug database - Number of quality bugs filed - Adherence to schedule/timelines - Adherence to SLAs where applicable - Number of defects post-delivery - Number of non-compliance issues In addition to the above responsibilities, you are expected to: - Manage project tasks and deliverables with quality within the targeted completion timeframe - Estimate time effort and resource dependence for your own work - Circulate daily status reports and update the test repository - Report the status of assigned tasks and comply with validation standards and processes Some skill examples required for this role are: - Computer hardware and components operation skills - Ability to work with Windows OS flavors and installation - Ability to perform and evaluate test results against product specifications - Ability to estimate effort time required for own work - Ability to perform and evaluate tests in the customer or target environment - Work effectively in a team environment - Good written and verbal communication abilities Knowledge examples you should possess include: - Good understanding of SDLC & STLC processes - Familiarity with different types of testing methodologies Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred: - Bachelors/Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related field - Basic understanding of computer architecture, hardware components, and operating systems - Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Exposure to testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium) is an advantage - Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities - Good communication and teamwork skills Your skills in Electrical Engineering, Computer Hardware, Operating System, and Python will be essential for excelling in this role.,
