Job Description

As a Test Solutions Engineer at Micron Technology, you will play a crucial role in improving the testing coverage and quality of NAND products. Your responsibilities will include owning the probe test flow, reviewing and signing off on probe test program releases to ensure quality control, and utilizing state-of-the-art engineering equipment for product characterization and electrical failure analysis. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing creative testing algorithms to enhance testing efficiency. In this role, you will also be responsible for new product startup and yield improvement, supporting design verification and circuit analysis of new products using CAD tools and Verilog simulations. You will collaborate with the wafer fab process/integration group to address process-related defects affecting product yield and recommend design fixes for circuit-related problems. Furthermore, you will design novel test algorithms and develop test programs for validating NAND features and commands, as well as utilize high-speed tester hardware to perform validation of new NAND devices. Analysis of failures generated from evaluations, automation of program development, and scripting work processes will also be part of your duties. Identifying causes of low yield through systematic analysis, working closely with various engineering groups to resolve process/defect-related issues, and performing electrical/physical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms will be essential in driving yield improvement projects. You will also be involved in developing high-quality and cost-efficient MNAND test strategies, collaborating with test engineering teams, and conducting electrical failure analysis of MNAND products through different phases of the product life cycle. Moreover, as a Test Solutions Engineer, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining manufacturing firmware for testing SSDs, ensuring SSDs are tested to meet required functionality, usability, quality/reliability, and performance. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives in terms of test coverage through code optimization.
