We re looking for someone on a mission to collaborate with cross-functional teams developing and implementing new systems & applications for proprietary analytics platforms Assess business requirements and work with development and deployment teams to ensure at most quality in delivering products & applications As a Functional QA Engineer to inspect and assess software quality through functional testing You will be responsible for finding and reporting software defects and identifying discrepancies between specification and system behaviour he ideal candidate will be results-oriented, self-motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced environment This role requires frequent interactions with project and product managers, developers, QA and other stakeholders, to ensure delivery of a world class compliance solution to our users Skillset : SQL Query, Database Testing, Web based Testing, Test Plan, Automation Framework, BDD framework, Cucumber, Selenium Java, Maven, TestNG, API Testing, Zephyr, Jira, Confluence, Jenkin, Agile, ScrumBachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with 6 years of overall testing experience Experience in developing test scenarios and test cases for various capabilities of our products Experience working with traditional databases such as SQL Server, as well as non-traditional databases including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc Experience with the Snowflake cloud-based data warehousing platform is a strong plus Experience in executing test scenarios/test cases during formal test periods for each release Involved in preparing release QA test plans, test strategies, and reporting bugs for large-scale applications Responsible for building and reviewing complex test scenarios, writing and executing test cases (both manual and automated), and ensuring quality releases Experience in Functional, Smoke, Regression, System Integration, and End-to-End Testing Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e g , Selenium WebDriver, JUnit, Maven, TestNG) Proficient in building test scripts using the Java programming language and the Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) Cucumber framework Experience in backend API testing using Postman and the Rest Assured Java-based library for all GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE methods to validate responses Experience testing web-based applications and performing cross-browser testing Experience with the test management tool Zephyr Scale (Jira App) is a significant plus Extensive experience working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence Understanding of the CI/CD process; familiarity with Jenkins or Azure DevOps Prior experience with any cloud platform (e g , Azure or AWS) and related services is a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders in a professional manner
