Test Lead/Architect

Job Description: Test Lead/Architect (L2/L3 Network Protocols & Automation) Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive testing strategies for cutting-edge networking products, with a focus on L2/L3 protocols. Your role will involve leveraging your deep understanding of networking technologies and strong Python scripting skills to develop and implement robust automation frameworks. Collaboration with development, marketing, and other test teams will be essential to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test methodologies and test plans for L2/L3 network protocols. - Analyze product requirements and specifications to identify testable areas and develop effective test strategies. - Estimate test effort, resources, and timelines. - Lead the execution of functional, performance, and stability tests for L2/L3 protocols. - Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Python and industry-standard automation tools. - Utilize test tools such as IXIA and/or Spirent to simulate network traffic and validate protocol behavior. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed reports to the development team. - Demonstrate deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, and other L2/L3 protocols. - Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide technical guidance to the team. - Collaborate with development, marketing, and other test teams to understand requirements and ensure alignment. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide regular updates on test progress and issues. - Mentor and guide junior test engineers. - Provide technical leadership in the area of network protocol testing and automation. - Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and testing methodologies. Qualifications Required: - 5-12 years of experience in network protocol testing. - Proven expertise in creating test methodologies, writing, and executing test plans. - Strong knowledge of L2/L3 network protocols, including Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP. - Excellent coding skills in Python for test automation. - Experience with industry-standard automation frameworks. - Experience with network test tools such as IXIA and/or Spirent. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Details: This role specifically focuses on L2/L3 network protocol testing and excludes regression testing, telecom (4G/5G), and storage profile testing.,
