Test Engineer- Graphics Testing

Qualcomm India Private Limited is seeking a talented Graphics Test Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate should have experience in Linux Android and Linux Embedded systems, possessing a solid understanding of Graphics APIs like OpenGLES, Vulkan, and OpenCL. In this role, you will be responsible for testing graphics systems, creating and automating test plans, and collaborating closely with various teams to ensure the highest quality of graphics performance and functionality. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing test plans for graphics systems in embedded environments, conducting hands-on testing at unit, integration, and system levels, as well as automating test cases using programming languages such as C, Python, etc. You will also be required to debug issues within the graphics systems, collaborate with software, hardware, and systems teams for comprehensive test coverage, document system-level defects, and use bug tracking systems for reporting. Additionally, adapting to testing various operating systems and hardware modules during test execution and ensuring the stability and performance of graphics systems under different operating conditions will be part of your role. The minimum qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or a Master's degree in a related field with 1+ year of relevant work experience, or a PhD in a related field. Furthermore, you should have at least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Preferred qualifications for this role include strong programming skills in C and Python, experience in testing Embedded SW systems, RTOS, and possessing strong debugging skills. Experience with GPU, CPUs, or Linux Device Drivers, open-source projects, upstream contributions, familiarity with Yocto, Ubuntu, and other Linux distributions, and expertise in developing and automating test plans and tools are also desirable. Other preferred qualifications encompass strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, ability to work well with various teams, ability to multitask and work under pressure, and exploring and implementing new ways to automate day-to-day tasks.
