Test Automation Engineer

Role Overview: Join iGrant.io in shaping the future of digital wallets! As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of the iGrant.io Organisation Wallet Suite. This suite powers the core digital identity wallet infrastructure, including issuer, verifier, and holder services, as well as the data wallet mobile app. Your primary focus will be on backend components, validating APIs, microservices, and integrations, with potential involvement in testing the mobile app for end-to-end quality. Key Responsibilities: - Build and evolve automation frameworks across multiple stacks (Python, Go, JavaScript, Kotlin, Swift) to validate APIs, microservices, and mobile apps. - Design, develop, and maintain test suites for functional, integration, regression, performance, and stress testing using tools like Pytest, Go testing frameworks, Jest, Espresso, XCUITest, Appium, and Locust. - Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Fastlane, Docker, Docker Compose) to ensure rapid and reliable feedback and deployment. - Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve test strategy and methodology, define acceptance criteria, and promote testing best practices. - Drive visibility and quality insights through code quality tools (SonarQube), test reporting, and metrics. - Uphold automated testing as a first-class citizen in the software development lifecycle and contribute to the engineering culture. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of experience in test automation, focusing on backend, microservices, and API validation. - Proficiency in Python, Go, JavaScript, Kotlin, and Swift for writing and maintaining tests. - Hands-on experience with popular test frameworks such as Pytest, unittest, Robot Framework (Python); Go testing packages, Testify, Ginkgo (Go); Jest, Playwright, Cypress (JavaScript/TypeScript); Espresso, UIAutomator (Android Kotlin); XCTest, XCUITest (iOS Swift). - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Fastlane, along with experience in SonarQube for code quality and Locust for stress/performance testing. - Strong understanding of containerization and local test environments with Docker & Docker Compose. - Methodical, detail-oriented, and committed to elevating the testing standards in dynamic engineering environments. - Excellent collaboration skills to influence developers, DevOps, and product stakeholders effectively. - Fluent in English and adept at working in distributed, agile teams.,
