The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of hands-on experience in heat treatment operations, metallurgical testing, and process optimization. Experience in **CQI (Customer Quality Interface) audits** will be an added advantage. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform and oversee **heat treatment processes** (hardening, tempering, carburizing, etc.). - Conduct metallurgical testing (microstructure analysis, hardness testing, tensile testing, etc.) to ensure compliance with industry standards. - Analyze heat treatment defects and recommend corrective actions. - Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. - Prepare **technical reports** and documentation for heat treatment processes. - Ensure adherence to **quality standards** (ISO, IATF, CQI-9, etc.). - Participate in **CQI audits** and implement necessary improvements. - Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize heat treatment parameters. - Train junior technicians and support continuous improvement initiatives. **Qualifications & Skills:** - **Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering** or related field. - **3-4 years of experience** in a **heat treatment lab** or metallurgical testing environment. - Strong knowledge of **heat treatment processes, metallography, and material properties**. - Familiarity with **CQI-9 (Heat Treat System Assessment)** is preferred. - Proficiency in using **microscopes, hardness testers, and other metallurgical equipment**. - Good understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)

Role & responsibilities Conduct physical, mechanical, and chemical testing of footwear components and finished products as per BIS/NABL standards (e.g., IS 15298, IS 11544, ISO 20345). Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results in accordance with NABL/BIS requirements. Operate and calibrate testing instruments such as flex testers, abrasion testers, tensile strength testers, etc. Review and interpret national/international standards and implement relevant updates to testing protocols. Support product development and quality assurance teams by providing technical insights on product conformity and performance. Assist in internal audits, proficiency testing, and maintaining quality management systems as per ISO/IEC 17025. Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies for testing, certification, and product approvals. Excellent documentation and reporting skills. Familiarity with safety footwear, sports footwear, and casual shoe categories is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with international testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, EN). Exposure to compliance audits and certification processes. Training or certification in laboratory quality management.
