Tendering Specialist - Power Conversion Solutions

The opportunity: As a member of the team, you will have the responsibility to provide the optimized cost for the technical solution defined for each opportunity. Your role will involve supporting the function head in achieving targets and coordinating with sales, tendering, and projects team for customer interface. Additionally, you will be required to perform Homer, Energy flow, and protection setting simulation studies to optimize designs and guide customers during the tendering stage. How you'll make an impact: You will start by analyzing customer specifications to have a clear understanding of their requests and prepare a reliable technical solution for the bid. Your focus will be on ensuring the optimization of the bid design in terms of cost and customer requests, in accordance with ABB technical standards. Using commercially available tools, you will simulate energy flows in the Microgrid to define required system sizing and make use of ABB internal tools to dimension stabilization solutions. Developing a bid design containing technical solutions from previous orders to reduce engineering time and risk will also be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will perform homer simulations to arrive at optimal equipment sizing and configuration. Your background: To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's or B.E. in Electricals and have at least 5 years of experience in electrical process control design and engineering functions executing large projects. A strong product knowledge of Micro Grid products & systems, particularly the Microgrid Control Platform, is essential. You should possess excellent knowledge and understanding of electrical systems including battery systems, as well as electrical process control and power systems in general. Experience in coordinating and cooperating with colleagues from multiple countries and multicultural backgrounds will be beneficial.
