Key Responsibilities of MEP Quantity Surveyors Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, including labor, materials, and equipment. Quantity Take-Offs: Analyze drawings and specifications to quantify MEP components like HVAC, electrical wiring, and plumbing fixtures. Tendering & Procurement: Develop tender documents, evaluate contractor bids, and assist in selecting suppliers and subcontractors. Cost Control & Reporting: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide regular cost reports to stakeholders. Change Management: Assess and document variations in scope, ensuring proper approvals and cost adjustments. Contract Administration: Review and manage contracts related to MEP works, ensuring compliance with terms and timelines.
