As an Estimator II specializing in Dry Utility and Telecom Construction, you will be a valuable addition to our client's team in the telecommunications infrastructure sector, particularly focusing on underground and aerial utility projects. Your role will involve preparing comprehensive bids for both public and private utility ventures, conducting detailed take-offs, and analyzing the requirements for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Collaboration with project managers will be a key aspect of your responsibilities, including participation in pre-bid and site meetings. You will be tasked with monitoring and overseeing the progress of bids, as well as managing pricing from subcontractors and vendors. Your expertise in DAS, Small Cell, and Fiber Splicing will be essential in ensuring the success of the projects. To excel in this position, you should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a specific focus on estimating, preferably in the telecom sector. Familiarity with CATV fiber design prints is required, along with proficiency in MS Office and online bid platforms (experience with Bid2Win is advantageous). Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, as is a valid California Driver's License (preferred).
