Telcom Expense Management Consultant

As a Telecom Expense Management Consultant with over 10 years of relevant experience, you are expected to have a thorough understanding of order, procurement, and service delivery operations within the carrier industry. Your role will involve completing installations for various clients and tackling the challenges that may arise during these processes. Your responsibilities will include coordinating and tracking activities with vendors, from contract negotiation to the Firm Order Commit (FOC) stage. You will also be required to facilitate internal and external scheduling with carriers and customers while adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by following up with carriers on orders and scheduling within three-day increments. A solid grasp of both data and voice installations requirements is essential for this role. You will need to demonstrate strategic thinking skills by identifying and addressing operational gaps with the support of the TEM manager or team when necessary. Hands-on experience with carrier portals, especially those of major carriers like LEC, Lumen, AT&T, and Windstream, will be crucial. Proficiency in Excel is a must as you will be creating comprehensive tracking reports for each carrier procurement event. Additionally, you are expected to maintain an updated list of all carrier contacts monthly and schedule regular calls with the TEM manager and team to provide timely updates on any changes to vendor contacts.
