As a Fixed Voice Platform Test Engineer in Sydney, you will be responsible for testing Sonus/Ribbon Session Border Controller (SBC), Sonus/Ribbon PSX and GSC, Ribbon C20. We are seeking a candidate with a solid background in Ribbon fixed switches, ideally from a previous experience at Ribbon Communications or Sonus Networks. The ideal candidate will have 6 to 12 years of industry experience in the Telecom sector and hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Telecommunications. You should possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in fixed or core mobile network manual/automation testing as a test engineer with exposure to lab testing. Your role will require a comprehensive understanding of internet protocols in data, voice, and video suites. Specifically, you should have experience in the design, deployment, or testing of Sonus/Ribbon Session Border Controller (SBC), Sonus/Ribbon PSX and GSC, Ribbon C20. Additionally, hands-on experience with SIP Protocols and testing SIP voice connecting to PABX is essential. Proficiency in using Probes & Analysers and signal generators such as Tektronix Iris and Niometrics is a plus. You should have the ability to assess requirements and processes with a problem-solving attitude. A strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle, methodologies, and the ability to identify and resolve issues/defects are crucial. Furthermore, you should be capable of transferring knowledge to team members effectively and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
