Draftsman specializing in steel detailing to create detailed technical drawings for steel components used in the FPSO structure. These drawings, also known as shop drawings, guide steel fabricators in accurately producing the steel elements required for the FPSO, (Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading). Responsibilities of an FPSO Draftsman in Steel Detailing: Interpreting Design Documents: Draftsman to interpret design documents provided by engineers to understand the structural requirements of the FPSO. Creating Detailed Drawings: To produce detailed drawings that include dimensions, material specifications, welding details, and assembly instructions for each steel component. Utilizing CAD Software: Draftsman to use specialized CAD software, such as Tekla Structures, Autodesk Advance Steel, or SDS/2, to create these drawings. Quality Control: To ensure the accuracy and completeness of the drawings, and may also be involved in checking the work of other detailers. Coordination: Draftsman to coordinate with other disciplines, such as piping and electrical engineers, to ensure that all elements fit together properly. Compliance: To ensure that the drawings comply with relevant industry codes and standards.
