As a 3D Modeling and Detailing Specialist for structural steel projects, your key responsibilities will include developing accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures, creating various types of drawings, and ensuring the proper modeling of steel connections. You will work closely with structural engineers, architects, fabricators, and site teams to implement design specifications and maintain drawing accuracy through collaboration with detailers, checkers, and project managers. Performing clash detection, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and generating necessary documentation will also be part of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field along with at least 11 years of experience in Tekla modeling for structural steel projects. Proficiency in Tekla Structures, understanding of steel fabrication, welding symbols, and connection details, as well as the ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings are essential technical skills required. Moreover, knowledge of AISC, NISD, and OSHA standards is crucial. In addition to technical skills, soft skills such as strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role. Being able to work both independently and as part of a team will be advantageous. Preferred qualifications include experience with BIM coordination tools, exposure to various types of steel detailing projects, and knowledge of material estimation and cost analysis. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work is required. A bachelor's degree is a must, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Tekla modeling.
