Job Title: Tekla Designer / Tekla DetailerJob Summary

The Tekla Designer is responsible for creating accurate 3D models, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings for steel structures using Tekla Structures software. The role involves close coordination with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to ensure constructible, clash-free, and code-compliant steel detailing.

Key Responsibilities

3D Modeling & Detailing

• Develop detailed 3D models of steel structures using Tekla Structures
• Model primary and secondary steel members (columns, beams, bracings, purlins, girts, ladders, platforms, etc.)
• Create connection details as per engineering design and standards
• Ensure clash-free models and resolve modeling conflicts

Drawings & Documentation

• Prepare fabrication/shop drawings, assembly drawings, and erection drawings
• Generate GA drawings, single-part drawings, and bolt summaries
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and bills of materials (BOM)
• Update drawings as per revisions and maintain proper revision history

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and other disciplines
• Incorporate engineer and client comments into models and drawings
• Provide technical support to fabrication and erection teams
• Attend coordination and review meetings when required

Quality & Standards

• Ensure detailing complies with project specifications, design codes, and company standards
• Perform self-checks and peer reviews to maintain drawing quality
• Follow QA/QC procedures and documentation requirements

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering
• 2–8 years of experience in steel structure detailing (experience level adjustable)
• Strong experience with Tekla Structures

Technical Skills

• Tekla Structures (mandatory)
• AutoCAD (for coordination and reference drawings)
• Good understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes
• Knowledge of structural steel connections and detailing standards
• Familiarity with PEB, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure steel projects

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
• Problem-solving mindset

Work Environment

• Office-based with coordination with fabrication shops and site teams
• Occasional site visits may be required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
