You will be responsible for working on the computerisation plan for the Bank, which includes tracking all mechanisation projects such as those that are implemented, under implementation, sanctioned but yet to start, and more. Your role will involve resource planning and developing trained manpower to support computerisation projects at all levels. In this position, you will maintain track of hardware and software problems in branches, assist in resolving issues, monitor progress, and ensure the maintenance of proper fall-back systems. Additionally, you will assist other departments in identifying and purchasing software and hardware for operations, analyze technology-oriented new products in the market, and identify core problem areas to develop problem-solving strategies. Staying updated on the latest technological developments will be crucial, along with implementing appropriate data security measures and disaster control procedures. You will also be responsible for controlling and monitoring outside computer processing agencies, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and developing plans for alternative in-house processing systems. Your role will also involve studying technological advancements and presenting suggestions to the Board of Directors, monitoring the benefits of mechanisation in terms of improved customer service, up-to-date housekeeping, accuracy, and the potential for diverting time and manpower resources for additional business development. Allocating available resources, both manpower and hardware, to facilitate the smooth functioning of the Data Processing schedule will be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining liaison with external computer agencies, collecting and storing data related to the Bank's operations, and providing processed data to user departments are also key aspects of this role. You will be tasked with identifying internal and external data sources that would be useful to Branch Heads at various levels, as well as analyzing and developing digital banking products. In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also handle other tasks related to the Information Technology Department as required.,
