Description
As a Technology Trainee in the 2-year program at the Shanghai Technical Center, your role is to accelerate your development from Trainee to Scientist with opportunities to work in various locations across the APAC region, including China, India, and Japan within the Mobility technology team. Throughout this program, you will be building up the talent pipeline and cultivating talents with Axalta DNA. Your training will encompass soft skills, general skills, position-specific skills, and business knowledge through a two-year job rotation in China, group activities, mentoring, and other learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and optimize recipes for products following the APQP process, ensuring they meet customer specifications including color. - Create cost-effective recipes using low-cost materials while understanding how recipe costs impact company profitability. - Collaborate with the operations team and other functions to align new/modified products into production smoothly. - Work with the application team to develop application line simulation parameters for successful line trials and product introductions. - Communicate effectively with account teams to keep all project members updated on technical progress. - Responsible for finding rework routes to support non-productive inventory reduction while maintaining product quality control. - Keep test specifications and methods up to date, developing new ones as needed to minimize testing requirements. - Analyze results, prepare technical reports, and ensure project documentation is completed for internal and external quality audits. - Attend line trials of new product launches at customer sites and lead or participate in problem-solving using appropriate methodologies. - Understand process overview, safety hazards, operation procedures, and safety practices related to work tasks. Qualifications Required: - Doctorate degree or above from top universities, majoring in Polymer Materials and Engineering, Material Science, or other Chemistry-related majors. - Proficiency in project management and problem-solving skills. - Good computer skills in office, database, and statistics. - Strong verbal and written English language skills. - Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
