Technology Lead (Group Finance)

As a Technology Lead in the Group Finance team at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and enhancing software solutions using various engineering methodologies. Your work will focus on providing business, platform, and technology capabilities for both customers and colleagues. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensure that the code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing among peers. - Stay updated on industry technology trends, contribute to the organization's technology communities, and foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. - Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and deliver secure software solutions. - Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. Qualifications Required: - Fundamental proficiency in any programming language, with a hands-on technology role involving 70% coding. - Strong background in Full stack Development with exposure to UI/UX programs. - Hands-on expertise in building Data Lake/Data Warehouse applications on Cloud technologies, preferably AWS, with a track record of at least 3-4 projects/programs in a Data engineer capacity. - Additional relevant skills such as exposure to AI/ML technologies and theoretical training in Gen AI are highly valued. In this role based in Pune, you will be expected to advise key stakeholders, manage and mitigate risks, demonstrate leadership, and collaborate with various business support areas. You will play a critical role in contributing to achieving the organization's goals, fostering innovation, and building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
