Job Title: Key Account Manager Industry: Pharmaceutical & Life Sciences Department: Sales & Business Development Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Role Category: Enterprise & B2B Sales Primary Responsibilities Develop and execute quarterly sales forecasts for the Ahmedabad region, ensuring consistent month-on-month performance. Drive sales initiatives and achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory. Build and maintain a robust monthly sales funnel to support revenue growth. Take full ownership of collection targets and ensure timely receivables. Implement strategic sales plans and meet regional objectives. Gain deep understanding of product categories and applications to deliver tailored customer solutions. Submit all required reports including Daily Sales Reports, Monthly and Quarterly MIS, and maintain updates on Lead Portal and Opportunity Funnel. Promote a profitable product mix to targeted customer segments. Cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure sustained business. Monitor competitor activities, including pricing, promotional schemes, and operational practices. Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute customer-specific brand awareness campaigns. Partner with product management to recommend optimal products and solutions. Identify and pursue new markets and customer segments to accelerate business expansion. Lead risk mitigation efforts to ensure goal achievement. Work cross-functionally to align internal stakeholders and drive business outcomes. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Science (Chemistry preferred). MBA/PGDM in Marketing is highly desirable. Experience & Skills 36 years of proven experience in laboratory chemical sales. Demonstrated success in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development roles. Strong track record of rapidly scaling lab chemicals business. Prior leadership experience is a plus. Core Competencies Results-driven, confident, and self-motivated. Proactive and organized with a consistent delivery mindset. Experience selling lab chemicals across Pharma, Academia, and Applied sectors. Skilled in managing distributors of varying scales. In-depth product knowledge and ability to match solutions to customer needs. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
