Job Description

Area(s) of responsibility

Key Responsibilities


  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database servers (SQL Server / PostgreSQL / Oracle).

  • Monitor database performance and tune queries, indexes, and database objects.

  • Troubleshoot database issues such as slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, high CPU/memory usage, and replication/backup failures.

  • Implement and support HA/DR solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, Replication, Streaming Replication, Data Guard, etc.

  • Perform regular DB maintenance activities: backups, restore tests, index maintenance, statistics updates, and patching.

  • Support development teams with SQL query optimization, schema design, deployment scripts, and data modeling.
