OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE: As Birdeye's SEO Manager , you'll take full ownership of our end-to-end SEO strategy and execution in a dynamic, high-growth B2B SaaS environment. Serving both SMBs and multi-location enterprises , Birdeye presents a unique SEO challenge blending local, product-led, and enterprise-level SEO tactics to drive meaningful pipeline growth. In this role, youll be responsible for architecting scalable, data-driven frameworks for organic acquisition that go beyond traffic and rankings — focusing instead on delivering qualified leads, MQLs, and revenue impact . You’ll work closely with Product Marketing, Content, Web Engineering, and Revenue teams to ensure SEO is tightly integrated into everything from top-of-funnel awareness campaigns to bottom-of-funnel conversion pathways . Your mission will span across: Designing a robust SEO roadmap targeting mid-market and enterprise buyers across various personas. Leading all facets of technical SEO , on-page optimization , and content scaling . Implementing a structured approach to programmatic SEO , authority building , and AI-assisted content optimization . And most critically, aligning SEO strategy to business outcomes — owning metrics like pipeline contribution, ARR influenced by organic channels, and search-led market expansion. You'll play a strategic role in helping Birdeye become the #1 organic choice for businesses looking to improve their reputation, customer experience, and engagement at scale. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: B2B SaaS SEO Strategy & Execution Own and evolve our B2B SEO roadmap to target mid-market and enterprise buyers across multiple personas (marketing, operations, customer experience leaders). Conduct in-depth keyword and intent research across the customer journey from TOFU discovery to BOFU commercial intent terms leveraging tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, SpyFu, SimilarWeb. Align SEO closely with content marketing and product marketing to create high-converting, search-optimized landing pages and articles for core use cases. Technical SEO Leadership Conduct in-depth SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, SEMrush, DeepCrawl to identify and resolve technical SEO issues. Collaborate with Engineering to optimize crawl budget, Core Web Vitals, mobile-friendliness, and page speed (LCP, FID, CLS). Manage site architecture, internal linking logic, and ensure all new pages follow proper SEO hygiene (canonicalization, hreflang, robots.txt, schema markup, etc.). Monitor and fix indexation, redirection chains, broken links, and other crawl anomalies using Google Search Console and log file analysis. On-Page SEO Own keyword research and mapping at scale using SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Keyword Planner, and user-intent models. Guide and QA on-page optimizations (title tags, H1s, meta descriptions, alt text, structured data, canonical tags). Work with Content and Product Marketing to optimize landing pages and blog posts using NLP tools (SurferSEO, Clearscope, MarketMuse). Authority & Link Building Lead white-hat link-building strategies via outreach, digital PR, partnerships, and industry mentions to increase domain authority and backlink quality. Continuously monitor and disavow toxic links using Ahrefs, SEMrush, and GSC. Collaborate with the Brand and PR team to identify strategic content distribution and backlink opportunities. Measurement, Analytics & Experimentation Build and own an SEO analytics dashboard (Looker Studio, GA4, GSC, BigQuery) that tracks: Organic traffic Keyword rankings (branded + non-branded) Page performance (CTR, bounce, conversion rate) Indexed vs. non-indexed content Run A/B tests to measure SEO-led improvements in rankings, engagement, and conversions. Provide monthly insights to Marketing and Revenue leadership, tied to pipeline contribution and ARR growth from organic sources. CANDIDATE PROFILE: 7+ years of hands-on SEO experience, including at least 3 years in B2B SaaS environments (US market preferred). Proven track record of driving measurable growth in pipeline, MQLs, and revenue through SEO. Strong technical SEO skills including the ability to audit, prioritize, and work with developers to implement fixes. Experience optimizing multi-product, multi-URL, or multi-location B2B SaaS sites. Deep familiarity with the latest in search algorithms, content modeling, NLP in SEO, SERP feature optimization, and AI-assisted search trends. Experience with local SEO at scale (e.g., optimizing 1000s of location pages, GMB/GBP listings, citation management). Understanding of server-side rendering, dynamic rendering, and frameworks like React, Next.js. Experience implementing programmatic SEO strategies.
