As a Mechanical Design Engineer II at Honeywell, you will be responsible for planning, configuring, and executing conveyor system projects for distribution centers. Your main focus will be ensuring the technical quality and effectiveness of the mechanical design. This includes creating and verifying conveyor layout, detail, air, load, structural drawings, schematics, and equipment orders as needed for the project. Additionally, you will be tasked with planning equipment layout, material flow, and implementing measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of resources and equipment on assigned projects. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines will be essential in developing and applying material handling equipment and solutions to meet project requirements. Your role will also involve directing and coordinating the building of prototypes, along with consulting with researchers and other engineers to address and resolve any problems encountered during project execution. You will be expected to perform various calculations and prepare detailed multi-view drawings based on engineering data and standard references. While in the field, you will be responsible for identifying safety concerns, ensuring equipment installation aligns with plans, communicating design issues and enhancements to customers, site superintendents, general contractors, and installation crews, and adjusting conveyor designs to accommodate field interferences. It is essential to ensure accurate data collection, troubleshoot equipment issues, and uphold high standards of technical quality to support the research team effectively. As a Research Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the setup, installation, and configuration of advanced and sensitive equipment and devices. Conducting systematic assessments using medical equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards in the laboratory, performing regular inspections, and preventive maintenance are crucial aspects of the role. Additionally, you will be expected to conduct quality control checks, resolve technical issues, prepare technical reports, logs, and maintenance schedules, supervise daily technical activities for optimal productivity, perform accurate data entry, organize and collate data, and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate for this position should hold an M.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Technology or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a clinical or research setting involving the handling of instruments. Proficiency in English and South Indian Languages is preferred. This full-time position based in Bangalore offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000, commensurate with experience.
