You will be responsible for identifying, defining, and sourcing essential materials for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and workwear. This role will involve vendor development, product innovation, technical support, and market research to ensure competitive sourcing solutions while maintaining compliance with global standards. Your responsibilities will include: - Identifying, defining, and sourcing products, fabrics, yarns, trims, accessories, and other articles for PPEs. - Vendor development for the existing product line until the sampling development stage, developing alternatives for existing suppliers for workwear/garment fabrics in India, and establishing new vendors globally. - Product development by closely collaborating with operations to create new products from the sampling stage or enhance existing products, sourcing the required articles if needed for such development. - Participation in technical sessions, conferences, and exhibitions. - Technical merchandising/support by closely working with the sales team to facilitate product development and sourcing, especially for private labels like TTI. - Product betterment projects for self from one of the major product categories. Key Requirements: - A graduate in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or related fields. - 5-7 years of experience in fabric sourcing, product development, and vendor management. - Strong expertise in procurement, technical merchandising, and supplier negotiations. - Knowledge of fabric properties and textile industry standards. - Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and coordinate cross-functional teams. - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
