Technical Lead - Node.JS

In this role at GMG, you will be responsible for driving backend development excellence as a seasoned Node.js Technical Lead across transformation initiatives. Your main responsibilities will include: - **Technical Leadership:** - Leading the design and development of high-performance, scalable server-side applications using Node.js. - Defining and enforcing coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices. - **Team Management:** - Mentoring and guiding a team of Node.js developers. - Conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. - **Architecture & Development:** - Making strategic decisions on system architecture and design. - Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code. - Troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing performance. - **Cross-functional Collaboration:** - Partnering with product managers, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver integrated solutions. - Coordinating with platform leads and project managers for seamless execution. - **Agile & Innovation:** - Driving Agile/Scrum practices across the development lifecycle. - Staying ahead of emerging technologies and trends to foster innovation. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 7-10 years of software development experience, with 5+ years in Node.js. - Proven expertise in Express.js, NestJS, and asynchronous programming. - Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes. - Exposure to other backend languages (Python, Java) is a plus. - Strong understanding of TDD and testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).
