Role Overview

Tech Lead

You will be responsible for translating product requirements into scalable technical solutions, guiding engineers through implementation, and ensuring high-quality delivery across backend, web, and mobile systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical execution of features from design to production
• Break down product requirements into clear technical tasks and implementation plans
• Lead feature-level architecture and technical decision-making
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers to refine scope and priorities
• Guide backend, frontend, and mobile engineers during development
• Review code and enforce engineering best practices
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability considerations are addressed
• Identify technical risks early and drive pragmatic solutions
• Support sprint planning, estimation, and delivery tracking
• Drive post-release improvements and technical refinements

Required Skills & Experience

Engineering & Execution

• 3-7 years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Experience owning features or modules end-to-end
• Prior exposure to fast-moving or 01 product environments
• Strong ability to deliver under tight timelines

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of backend systems and REST APIs
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and RBAC
• Exposure to real-time systems (WebSockets, event-driven architectures)
• Working knowledge of frontend systems and state management
• Awareness of mobile application constraints and workflows
• Ability to reason about performance, scalability, and reliability
• Comfort making and explaining technical trade-offs

Collaboration & Leadership

• Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers
• Strong communication with product, design, and engineering teams
• Ownership mindset with accountability for delivery

Quality & Reliability

• High attention to edge cases and failure scenarios
• Focus on maintainable, clean, and readable code
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills

Nice to Have

• Background in product-focused engineering roles
• Experience with collaboration, communication, or system-heavy products
• Familiarity with JavaScript, React / Next.js, or Node.js
• Exposure to real-time communication concepts (presence, sync, notifications)
• Startup or early-stage company experience
