As a Technical Lead, you will drive key technical decisions and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platforms and the broader engineering culture at Liv-ex. You will provide technical leadership and oversee project planning, reporting, and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of 6-7 engineers (frontend, backend, QA, DB), with a primary focus on frontend development and architecture.
- Drive hands-on delivery of modern web apps using React, TypeScript, and component-based design.
- Oversee team workflows via Jira, and ensure timely planning, reporting, and delivery.
- Collaborate with designers and product managers using Figma, translating UX into polished UI.
- You don't need to be a designer, but you should be comfortable interpreting layouts, inspecting components, and giving feedback.
- Set and uphold standards for code quality, testing, performance, and accessibility.
- Coordinate with backend engineers, contributing to Java (Spring Boot) code where required.
- Influence frontend architecture, promote clean code practices, and guide code reviews.
- Foster innovation, reduce technical debt, and keep the team aligned with modern frontend trends.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of prior experience as a Technical Lead or a similar role.
- 5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and modern JavaScript.
- 3+ years of experience in backend development with Java (Spring Boot) and related technologies (Hibernate, JSP, SQL).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, Git, Docker, and frontend testing frameworks (e. g., Jest, Cypress).
- Prior Experience building responsive, serverless applications and using open-source JS libraries.
- Working knowledge of Figma for interpreting design specs and collaborating with UX/UI designers.
- Strong understanding of the AWS ecosystem from a frontend perspective(S3 IAM).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, you're able to clearly articulate ideas, translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Prior experience in Micro-frontend Architecture is desirable.
- Desirable certifications include AWS Certified Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Meta Front-End Developer, or Certified JavaScript Developer.
- Exposure to server-side rendering or JAM stack approaches (Next.js, Vite) is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.

- Comfortable leading technical discussions, facilitating decisions, and adapting to evolving priorities with calm and focus.
