Technical Lead- Backend

As a seasoned SDE3 at Loop, your primary focus will be to manage a team of developers, plan deliverables, and ensure alignment with product managers and requirements. You will also contribute actively as a developer, emphasizing the importance of best code quality practices and a platform-first approach to building product flows. **Key Responsibilities:** - Balancing effective product feature delivery with managing tech debt to create a high-leverage product platform for various initiatives. - Acting as an expert for Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and monitoring engineers across the team to ensure system stability. - Leading the identification of dependencies and developing high-level design documents from a system and product perspective. - Comfortably adopting and leveraging AI agents for day-to-day tasks. - Managing ambiguity in project lifecycles effectively. In terms of people skills, you will work collaboratively within a team setup to model and coach team members on best practices for Code Quality, Project lifecycle management, and Scrum ceremonies. Additionally, you will establish partnerships with stakeholders such as product managers, design teams, and operations to determine product requirements across teams. **Qualifications:** - Bachelors or masters degree in computer science from a reputed institution like IIT/NIT. - 6+ years of industry experience in B2B/B2C product companies, preferably in a startup environment. - Proficiency in MERN/Java tech stack and modern cloud-native development on GCP/AWS. - Experience in managing a team of 4-6 developers. - Strong track record in building quality products and services, especially in distributed systems. - Bonus: Experience in building a 0-1 product.
