Technical Lead

Role & responsibilities

• APIFirst Design & Microservices
  – Define and implement RESTful and gRPC APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger contracts – Architect microservices patterns (service discovery, circuit breakers, API gateways) for scalable, resilient systems • Continuous Integration & Delivery – Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps – Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for code quality (unit/integration tests, code coverage, security scans) • Database Architecture & Performance – Design and optimize relational schemas (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL data models (MongoDB, Cassandra) – Lead performance tuning: indexing strategies, query optimization, partitioning, and caching (Redis, Memcached) • Cloud & DevOps Foundations – Deploy and manage services on AWS, Azure, or GCP leveraging container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, AKS) – Use Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation) for repeatable environment provisioning • Security & Compliance – Implement authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT) and secure coding practices – Ensure solutions meet SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements • Mentorship & Team Leadership – Coach and mentor developers in coding best practices, design patterns, and peer review processes – Drive regular knowledgeshare sessions, brownbags, and maintain shared libraries or “starter kits” • Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication – Partner with product owners, architects, QA, and operations to translate requirements into technical designs – Present architectural decisions, progress updates, and risk mitigations to both technical and nontechnical audiences • Innovation & Continuous Improvement – Stay current on emerging frameworks, languages, and tooling; evaluate and prototype new approaches – Contribute to internal playbooks, reference architectures, and accelerator templates
