Role & responsibilities 1. Documentation Development: Create, update, and maintain technical documentation for software products, embedded systems, and IT security solutions. Develop user manuals, product specifications, installation guides, API documentation, troubleshooting guides, and system operation manuals. Draft and revise documentation to comply with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards, ensuring quality and accuracy in compliance-related documentation. 2. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as software development, embedded engineering, IT, and product management to collect technical information and ensure documentation is aligned with product functionality and requirements. Engage with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights and clarify technical details for inclusion in documentation. 3. Quality Assurance: Review and proofread documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. Maintain version control of documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant. 4. Compliance and Standards: Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO 27001 and ISO 9001. Help maintain internal and external knowledge repositories, ensuring easy access to up-to-date documentation. 5. Process Improvement: Continuously improve documentation processes and templates to ensure efficiency, readability, and usability. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices for technical writing and documentation. 6. Visual Aids and Diagrams: Create flowcharts, diagrams, and process maps to complement technical content, making complex concepts more accessible and visually engaging (Mandatory) 7. Document Lifecycle Management: Understand and manage the entire document lifecycle, from creation to review, approval, and final publication. Ensure that all documentation is properly versioned and updated as needed. 8. Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development processes and the ability to work in an Agile environment, as IIoT products often follow iterative sprints and require frequent updates to documentation. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: 3-6 years of experience in technical writing, preferably with IIoT devices or similar products. Experience in writing documentation for software, embedded systems, cybersecurity, and compliance is essential. Previous exposure to ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 documentation is highly beneficial. Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with technical documentation tools such as MadCap Flare , Adobe FrameMaker , Confluence , Google Docs , or Microsoft SharePoint . Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of version control systems like Git or SVN for managing documentation changes is a plus. Understanding of embedded systems and basic IT infrastructure will be an advantage. Familiarity with software testing documentation and quality assurance practices is essential. Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise documentation for various audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in technical writing within the IIoT or industrial automation sectors. Knowledge of regulatory standards related to cybersecurity and IT management, such as NIST or ISO 27001. Familiarity with creating technical content for different delivery formats, such as online help, PDF, and HTML. Experience in creating and integrating visual aids like flowcharts, diagrams, and process maps.
