Job Description

In this role as a Technical Consulting Engineer in Customer Delivery at Cisco, specializing in the security domain, you will collaborate with a team of industry experts to develop and implement advanced Internet security technologies. Your primary focus will be on gaining insights into Cisco's security products, particularly ISE, and working closely with all service chain elements to deliver secure end-to-end solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Collaborate with global customers and cross-functional Cisco teams to resolve complex technical challenges within the security domain, with a focus on Identity Services Engine (ISE). - Diagnose and resolve product and network issues of moderate to high complexity using advanced troubleshooting techniques and deep knowledge of security protocols. - Utilize knowledge bases, debugging tools, and lab simulations to analyze technical incidents and provide effective solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. - Stay updated on emerging technology trends/products to deliver high-quality support to customers. - Partner with development teams to enhance product serviceability based on real-world customer experiences. - Support and mentor team members on intricate product-related issues to foster technical excellence. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering. - 5+ years of experience with Security Technologies, preferably Cisco. - 4+ years of experience in a Support environment with proven troubleshooting experience in sophisticated environments. - Cisco Security Certifications (CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCIE Security) would be an added advantage. - Knowledge in Linux and VMware would be beneficial. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Technical knowledge/experience of working on features like NAT, ALG, HA, IDS/IPS, AAA technologies like RADIUS, TACACS, DOT1X, VPN technologies like IKEv1, IKEv2, PKI, SSL VPN, NHRP, GRE over IPsec, Remote Access VPN Clients, etc. - Good understanding of Cisco ISE architecture, policies, and R&S concepts. - Proficiency in networking fundamentals (Routing/Switching/Security) and the OSI model & protocols like ARP, TCP, IP, DHCP, DNS, IPSEC, ISAKMP. - Working knowledge of Wireshark and programming languages like Python. - Experience in a Customer support environment with excellent customer handling skills. - Logical problem-solving approach and analytical skills.
