Position Title:
Technical Product Owner
Job Purpose
Lead the end-to-end transformation of core wallet and payment gateway platforms by driving modernization, scalability, and ecosystem expansion. Work closely with engineering, architecture, business, and compliance teams to define a clear product roadmap, prioritize capabilities, and ensure successful delivery of high-performing, real-time financial systems.The role requires strong fintech domain expertise across wallet systems, payment gateways, ledger systems, and transaction lifecycle management. The candidate should possess deep technical understanding combined with strong analytical and product ownership skills. The objective is to evolve into a robust, compliant, scalable, and industry-leading platform supporting high transaction volumes and complex financial products.
Key Accountabilities
Product & Roadmap Ownership
- Partner with business, engineering, and architecture teams to identify business challenges and translate them into actionable technical product requirements.
- Own and drive the technology product roadmap for wallet and payment gateway platforms, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.
- Prioritize backlog items, facilitate Agile ceremonies, and ensure timely delivery of features in sprint cycles.
Functional & Technical Responsibilities
- Define and document business processes, workflows, APIs, and data models supporting financial operations, assurance, and transaction integrity.
- Conduct gap analysis, root-cause investigations, and impact assessments across current systems and operations.
- Ensure platform scalability, performance optimization, resiliency, and regulatory compliance across markets.
- Guide engineering teams in designing microservices, APIs, cloud-native solutions, and secure transaction flows.
- Evaluate vendor solutions and manage partnerships to support product delivery and innovation.
Financial Operations, Security & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to compliance, AML/KYC norms, financial regulations, and security standards applicable to fintech platforms.
- Drive revenue assurance mechanisms, reconciliation workflows, and operational integrity across wallet and gateway systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Communicate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders in simple terms.
- Work with QA teams to scale test automation, performance testing, and functional assurance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to present roadmap updates, risks, and delivery status.
Educational Qualifications
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- BE/BTech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of:

Relevant Experience
- 10+ years in Technical Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst roles within fintech, telecom, digital banking, or financial services.
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale financial/transactional technology platforms.
- Experience working with engineering, architecture, finance, compliance, and QA teams.
