Team Leader Engineering Operations

As a Team Leader in Engineering Operations at our Hyderabad office, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a diverse team of technical professionals, including DevSecOps Engineers, Developer Experience (DevX) Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs). Your role will involve hiring, mentoring, and developing team members, ensuring operational excellence, and aligning team objectives with our broader technology and business goals. Utilizing your expertise in DevSecOps, DevX, and SRE domains, you will guide the teams towards executing key technology initiatives in alignment with senior leadership's strategic direction. You will manage a cross-functional team of technical engineers focused on infrastructure, automation, security, developer tooling, and reliability. Your responsibilities will include driving career development, performance management, and mentorship for your team members. By partnering with global leadership, you will gain insights into team priorities, direction, and processes, ensuring flawless execution, ownership, and accountability across the team. Your role will involve fostering a collaborative team culture that prioritizes psychological safety, inclusivity, and accountability. Additionally, you will collaborate on resource planning, recruitment, and onboarding in coordination with global leadership. Identifying and removing team roadblocks and inefficiencies while maintaining high velocity and predictable delivery will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. You will also act as a liaison between local teams and global leadership to ensure that local stakeholders" concerns are effectively communicated and addressed. To qualify for this role, you must have at least 7 years of experience in managing technical roles such as DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure, with a minimum of 2 years in a formal people management position. Your experience should demonstrate your ability to create and nurture a high-trust culture of engaged individuals, manage, coach, and develop high-performing technical teams, and hire top talent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, familiarity with key technologies such as Kubernetes, Datadog, Azure, and experience in fast-paced, agile environments are essential qualifications. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in the healthcare or fintech industry and familiarity with compliance frameworks like HIPAA, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
