Faculty of Visual Communication & Multimedia Design

hands-on educator

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Training

  • Teach

    graphic design principles

    : color theory, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and design for different media.
  • Train students in

    software tools

    including:
  • Figma

    (UI/UX basics, prototyping, collaborative design).
  • Adobe Photoshop

    (image editing, photo manipulation, design layouts).
  • Adobe Illustrator

    (vector graphics, logos, infographics).
  • Adobe After Effects

    (motion graphics, basic animations, title sequences).
  • Adobe Premiere Pro

    or equivalent (video editing fundamentals).
  • Basic audio editing tools

    (Audition or equivalent sound clean-up, voice balancing, mixing for media).
  • Cross-Media Graphic Creation

  • Teach students how to design for

    print (posters, newsletters, brochures)

    ,

    digital (social media graphics, web design, ads)

    , and

    broadcast media (TV graphics, lower thirds, transitions)

    .
  • Mentor students in adapting one campaigns visual identity across all formats.
  • Project-Based Learning

  • Guide

    mini projects

    : social media posts, news cards, infographics, motion ads.
  • Supervise

    capstone projects

    : 360 campaign graphics (print + digital + motion).
  • Mentor students on preparing a

    design portfolio

    showcasing multi-platform skills.
  • Audio-Visual Integration

  • Train students in

    basic audio manipulation

    : cleaning noise, adjusting voice levels, adding background music/effects.
  • Integrate audio elements into multimedia campaigns.
  • Industry Linkages

  • Stay updated on

    design and software trends

    .
  • Bring in

    real client briefs or live projects

    (through collaborations with the Visual Communication Department).
  • Arrange workshops/masterclasses with professional designers and editors.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in

    Visual Communication, Multimedia, Design, or Mass Communication

    .
  • Minimum

    23 years of professional/teaching experience

    in graphic design and multimedia production.
  • Expertise in

    Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and audio editing tools

    .
  • Strong understanding of design workflows across

    print, digital, and broadcast

    .
