Job Description

As an intern at Sarvam Shakti, a flagship project of the Sarvam Foundation, you will have the opportunity to contribute to empowering urban slum girls through education and community support. The role involves designing simple English lessons focused on speaking, grammar, vocabulary, and spelling to enhance learning. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing interactive and engaging English lessons to encourage student participation. - Monitoring student regularity and communicating with parents/guardians in case of irregular attendance. - Assisting with administrative tasks such as documentation, data entry, and schedule coordination. - Effectively communicating with students, NGO staff, and coordinators while demonstrating patience and organizational discipline. Qualifications Required: - Passion for empowering girls and women through education and community support. - Willingness to contribute to teaching as well as administrative tasks. - Commitment to making a meaningful impact. This is a part-time role for 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. By offering a skills-based curriculum and a well-being program, Sarvam Shakti aims to empower marginalized girls in India to discover confidence, self-worth, and purpose in their lives. Through creative education, Indian performing arts, yoga, and quality education in computers and English classes, the program equips students, known as Shaktis, to navigate life's challenges and shape their character.
