Job Description: Mathematics Teacher (PSC-Oriented)

A Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering effective and engaging mathematics instruction to students, fostering analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical literacy. The teacher ensures curriculum compliance as per the State Education Board or Central Government standards, maintaining academic discipline and contributing to the holistic development of students.

Key Duties and Responsibilities1. Instructional Duties

• Prepare and deliver clear, structured, and engaging mathematics lessons as per syllabus.
• Teach a range of mathematical topics including Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics.
• Use appropriate teaching aids, models, charts, ICT tools, and real-life examples to enhance comprehension.
• Encourage analytical and logical thinking through problem-solving sessions and activities.

2. Curriculum and Assessment

• Plan, prepare and implement lesson plans in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
• Develop question papers, worksheets, and assignments aligned with Bloom’s Taxonomy.
• Conduct periodic assessments, unit tests, and examinations to evaluate student progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and submit required reports.

3. Classroom Management

• Maintain discipline and decorum in the classroom and school premises.
• Create an inclusive and safe learning environment for students of all backgrounds.
• Address individual learning needs through differentiated instruction.

4. Administrative and Co-curricular Responsibilities

• Participate in school meetings, teacher training programs, and departmental activities.
• Assist in the preparation of academic calendars, time tables, and exam schedules.
• Supervise co-curricular and extracurricular activities such as math clubs, Olympiads, exhibitions, etc.

5. Professional Ethics and Conduct

• Uphold the code of conduct and teaching ethics prescribed by the Education Department or NCTE.
• Maintain regularity, punctuality, and professionalism in duty.
• Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to improve teaching practices.

6. Community and Parental Involvement

• Maintain constructive communication with parents/guardians about students' academic performance.
• Encourage parental involvement in academic and co-curricular progress of students.

Desirable Skills and Competencies

• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Competency in classroom management.
• Familiarity with ICT tools and e-learning platforms.
• Aptitude for guiding students in competitive exams (like NTSE, Olympiads, etc.)

Eligibility (as per PSC standards)

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics + B.Ed. (or as specified by respective PSC).
• Age Limit, Reservation, and Experience: As per State PSC norms.
• Other Requirements: Passing State Eligibility Tests like KTET/SET/CTET, if applicable.

Job Types: Full-time, Fresher

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
