Job Summary:The Billing cum Planning Engineer plays a dual role involving both project planning and billing. This position is responsible for preparing and managing project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely and accurate billing as per contractual terms. The role demands coordination with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, site engineers, and finance teams. Key Responsibilities:Billing Responsibilities:Prepare client and subcontractor bills in compliance with contract terms and project progress. Verify and certify quantities based on actual site measurements and drawings. Coordinate with site execution teams to validate and certify daily progress reports (DPR). Ensure timely submission of bills and follow up for approvals and payments. Maintain records of all billing documents including measurements, BOQs, and rate analysis. Assist in the preparation of claims, variation orders, and cost escalations if applicable. Planning Responsibilities:Prepare and update project schedules using software like MS Project or Primavera. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress and update schedules accordingly. Identify delays and propose corrective measures to keep the project on track. Generate MIS reports and dashboards for management review. Assist in resource planning including labor, materials, and equipment forecasts. Coordinate with procurement, site execution, and design teams to ensure alignment with project timelines. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. 3–7 years of experience in construction project planning and billing (may vary). Proficient in MS Project/Primavera, MS Excel, and AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of construction processes, BOQs, and rate analysis. Familiarity with relevant IS codes and standard industry practices. Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills. Preferred Attributes:Experience in infrastructure/residential/commercial projects. Familiar with ERP systems like SAP, Tally, or project management software. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines.
