Tax Senior Associate, Financial Services, Specialty Finance

As a Tax Supervisor at RSM, you will play a crucial role in providing detail review and analysis of complex Federal partnership tax issues while ensuring excellent client service. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks including: - Providing detailed review and analysis of complex Federal partnership tax issues, especially for Private Equity PortCo / Operating Partnership using the Go System - Handling multiple complex issues and effectively communicating in a non-technical manner to bridge the gap between clients and the service team, ensuring risk management for both parties - Directly interacting with clients to address questions, planning, concerns, and more - Developing, motivating, and training staff level and intern team members - Conducting, documenting, and summarizing research on specific tax issues - Staying updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law Basic qualifications for this role include: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field - 2+ years of experience in business taxation with a Big 4 or a large national, regional, or local accounting firm, or equivalent experience in industry or with a law firm - Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or EA - Previous experience in tax compliance & consulting for Asset Management clients - Knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance - Ability to work closely with clients to address questions and gather necessary information for tax service requirements Preferred qualifications for this position are: - Masters of Accounting, Masters of Taxation, or MBA - Active CPA or EA license - Demonstrated success in managing client engagements from start to end RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package to all employees, along with flexibility in your schedule to help you balance work and personal life.
