Tax Manager - PWS

Role Overview: As a Tax Manager at Grant Thornton INDUS, you will be responsible for performing Manager review of complex federal and state tax returns of US Individuals and Trusts (Form 1040 and 1041). You will manage high net worth individual clients and large engagements, ensuring quality assurance for projects handled by the team. Additionally, you will act as a subject matter expert, identifying technical issues on engagements and providing recommendations to the team. Your role will involve coaching the team on technical concepts, participating in technical forums, and training team members on high technical concepts. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Manager review of complex federal and state tax returns of US Individual and Trusts (Form 1040 and 1041) - Stay up-to-date with tax law changes and apply them to tax returns - Manage high net worth individual clients and large engagements - Ensure Quality Assurance for projects handled by the team - Identify technical issues on engagements and provide recommendations to the team - Act as a subject matter expert and facilitate knowledge sharing - Coach the team on technical concepts and high technical concepts - Participate actively in technical forums - Identify gaps, coach, mentor, and develop technical skills of team members - Build professional relationships with engagement teams - Lead the team independently and assist in coaching them on career development - Serve as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) or liaison with the US offices you closely work with Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - CPA certification preferred - Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in tax management - Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Experience in managing high net worth individual clients is a plus About Grant Thornton INDUS: Grant Thornton INDUS comprises GT U.S. Shared Services Center India Pvt Ltd and Grant Thornton U.S. Knowledge and Capability Center India Pvt Ltd.
