Tax Assistance

The Tax Assistance position is a vital role that contributes to ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, while also providing valuable support in tax planning and financial analysis. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation and filing of various tax returns, conducting research on tax laws, assisting with tax audits, preparing financial statements related to tax matters, collaborating with internal teams for necessary financial information, and supporting the development of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability. You will also be involved in tasks such as tax provision calculations, reviewing financial data for tax implications, communicating with external tax advisors and auditors, providing guidance to other departments on tax-related matters, staying updated on changes in tax laws, documenting tax policies and procedures, contributing to special tax projects, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of tax records for both internal and external stakeholders. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with professional certification such as CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) being preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax compliance, preparation, or a related field is required, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in tax software and financial systems, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Being detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, sound decision-making, and judgment skills, knowledge of tax research methods and resources, and experience with tax provision and reporting would be advantageous. Adaptability to changes in tax laws and regulations, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software, are also key skills for success in this role.,
