Tax Accountant

We're seeking a detail-orientated Accountant & Bookkeeper.

We are a friendly accountancy practice based in Gold Coast Australia.

We are building our offshore team in India for some bookkeeping and accounting work.

This is a permanent remote position.

Duties include:

• Preparing a variety of tax related documents including BAS, tax returns & financial statements for a variety of entity types including Trusts, SMSF's, company's & more
• Day-to-day Bookkeeping, journal entry, payroll processing
• Tax advisory services
• Data Entry 
• Liaising with clients, accounting team, ATO & ASIC & assisting with various queries. 
• Assist accounting assistants when needed
• General administrative tasks including emails, answering phones, appointment making, processing payments.
• Reception Duties when cover required  
  

To be successful in this role you MUST have at least 2 years experience in the above mentioned tasks & will need to be detail orientated & possess strong computer skills. 

Essential Skills & Experience

• 2+ years prior experience in a similar role 
• Experience in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks  - XPM would also be desirable
• Knowledge & experience using Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel.
• Knowledge & experience using online filing systems & electronic signing software
• Knowledge of bookkeeping & good understanding of GST 
• Knowledge of Taxation laws & sound understanding of accounting principles
• Strong understanding & experience creating journals
  

This will be offered as a full-time position with a probationary period of 6 months for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity and a wage package will be negotiated based on experience.
