We're seeking a detail-orientated Accountant & Bookkeeper. We are a friendly accountancy practice based in Gold Coast Australia. We are building our offshore team in India for some bookkeeping and accounting work. We are looking for a highly organised and friendly individual who has at least 2 years practice experience in similar role. This is a permanent remote position. Duties include: Preparing a variety of tax related documents including BAS, tax returns & financial statements for a variety of entity types including Trusts, SMSF's, company's & more Day-to-day Bookkeeping, journal entry, payroll processing Tax advisory services Data Entry Liaising with clients, accounting team, ATO & ASIC & assisting with various queries. Assist accounting assistants when needed General administrative tasks including emails, answering phones, appointment making, processing payments. Reception Duties when cover required To be successful in this role you MUST have at least 2 years experience in the above mentioned tasks & will need to be detail orientated & possess strong computer skills. Essential Skills & Experience 2+ years prior experience in a similar role Experience in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks - XPM would also be desirable Knowledge & experience using Microsoft Office, in particular, Excel. Knowledge & experience using online filing systems & electronic signing software Knowledge of bookkeeping & good understanding of GST Knowledge of Taxation laws & sound understanding of accounting principles Strong understanding & experience creating journals This will be offered as a full-time position with a probationary period of 6 months for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity and a wage package will be negotiated based on experience.
