This includes handling Goods and Services Tax (GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and other relevant Australian taxes. Additionally, you will assist with the preparation of financial statements, support tax audits, and prepare tax calculations and reports for submission to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). Your role will also involve advising clients on tax-related matters such as deductions, exemptions, and tax planning to ensure accurate and timely tax filings to meet deadlines. In order to excel in this position, you must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Tax Accountant, specifically in the Australian domain. A strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, GST, and ATO regulations is essential, along with experience working with Australian clients or handling Australian tax matters. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, excellent attention to detail, and strong analytical skills are also required. The ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and possess good written and verbal communication skills are important for success in this role. You will need to stay updated with the latest Australian tax regulations and legislative changes to ensure compliance and accuracy in your work.
