1. Tendering support to Regulatory group on DERC related regulations, directions, Electricity Act, 2003 etc. Supervising section 142 matters and other than 142 matters for the organization. Filing of petitions for PPA approval, adoption of Tariff etc. or others involving DERC jurisdiction. Tendering legal support to PMG group on CERC related petitions filed by Generators, traders, transmission companies and others. Drafting petitions filed by TPDDL against others. Offering comments, legal support in amendment of enactment of new draft regulations of CERC, DERC, CEA etc. 2. Preparing comments, pleadings, petitions and attending hearings of legal matters in various forums like HIGH COURT, CERC, DERC, APTEL, NGT and miscellaneous forums like Electrical Inspector office etc. and briefing counsel and attending matters before various authorities. Follow Up action with other departments for compliance of any orders/directions from Courts/Appropriate Forums/other authorities. 3. Drafting, vetting and providing comments w.r.t. various documents including Agreements, indemnity deeds, settlement deeds, MOU, NDA, undertakings, letters, Addendum/ Modification/ Extension documents and other required legal documents. Major support tendered to BD group for domestic and international projects on day to day basis. 4. Attending and representing Corporate Legal Department at departmental and other business meetings, Drafting of monthly legal bulletin/ Informant (Corporate Legal part), attending to queries and assisting in providing legal opinion to the queries from various departments concerning legal issues , appearing and attending hearings in relevant court matters, updation of knowledge through law journals and online researches. Research regarding ongoing issues and work assigned-judgment, rulings, notifications, circulars as may be required to our department. 5. Filing of Patents/ copyrights/ trademarks on behalf of the Company in time bound manner. Mentoring the IPR applicants, initiating persons in the organization. Maintaining MIS and co-ordination of IPR matters with our counsels. 6. Preparing and Maintaining MIS relating to Matters pursued by Corporate Legal Department in various Courts and Appropriate Forums/ other Authorities. Keeping the senior management updated on weekly basis on updates, developments in legal proceedings, matters. 7. Allocation, co-ordination of safety related SDM Court cases to various counsels in matters filed for removal of unauthorized construction passing of conditional and absolute orders and maintaining lists for such orders and updating these cases on SAP.
