You are invited to join IPCL as an experienced and results-driven professional to lead the Commercial Operations of the company in Asansol, West Bengal. As the Assistant General Manager Commercial, you will be responsible for overseeing various key aspects of the power distribution business in the licensed area. Your role will involve leading and managing end-to-end commercial operations, including metering, billing, and collections. You will be tasked with ensuring 100% billing and collection efficiency across consumer categories to drive financial sustainability and minimize losses. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing tariff restructuring, pricing strategies, and adhering to regulatory frameworks to meet statutory commercial obligations. To further enhance operational efficiency, you will implement strategies to monitor and reduce AT&C losses, conduct energy audits, deploy smart metering solutions, and strengthen internal controls to prevent revenue leakages. Improving customer experience through effective engagement, grievance redressal, and service delivery will also be a key focus area. Your role will also involve driving digital transformation and automation in commercial processes, coordinating with BEE for compliance, leading smart meter deployment, identifying new business opportunities, and engaging with key stakeholders in the power distribution sector. Desired skills and competencies for this role include being a graduate engineer in Electrical with an MBA in Finance/Energy Management, having over 10 years of experience in the power distribution sector. Strong understanding of electricity regulatory policies, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, analytical and financial acumen, and proficiency in ERP, CRM, and MIS systems are essential for this role.
