We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to drive the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our Web Fabric platform. This platform is a critical component of our stream-aligned team topologies approach, enabling independent teams to build and deploy microfrontends rapidly and safely. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in modern web architectures, module federation, and DevOps practices, with a strong focus on enabling developer autonomy and platform scalability. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our microfrontend strategy, promoting code quality, and fostering collaboration across stream-aligned teams. Responsibilities: Architectural Leadership: Define and maintain the overall architecture of the Web Fabric platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering best practices. Provide technical leadership and guidance to stream-aligned teams on microfrontend development, module federation, and related technologies. Drive the evolution of the Web Fabric platform, identifying and implementing improvements to performance, scalability, security, and developer experience. Collaborate with other architects and engineering leaders to ensure consistency and interoperability across the broader technology ecosystem. Web Fabric Platform Ownership: Oversee the development and maintenance of the team-webfabric repository, including the shell application, WebFabric Toolkit, and configuration system. Ensure the WebFabric Toolkit provides a seamless and efficient development experience for stream-aligned teams. Define and enforce standards for microfrontend development, including module types, dependency management, and testing. Manage the WebFabric configuration system, ensuring consistency and type safety across environments. Stream-Aligned Team Enablement: Work closely with stream-aligned teams to understand their needs and challenges related to microfrontend development. Provide guidance and support to teams on the use of the Web Fabric platform and related tools. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams,promoting best practices and architectural consistency. Review and approve architectural changes proposed by stream-aligned teams, ensuring alignment with the overall Web Fabric strategy. Code Quality and Standards: Define and enforce code quality standards for microfrontends and related components. Implement and maintain ESLint rules and other tooling to prevent cross-team dependency violations and enforce architectural constraints. Promote the use of testing best practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. Ensure that microfrontends implement proper error boundaries and graceful degradation strategies. Technology Stack Management: Maintain a deep understanding of the Web Fabric technology stack, including React 19, TypeScript, Rsbuild, Vite, Module Federation 2.0, and TanStack Router. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the Web Fabric platform. Ensure that the technology stack is aligned with industry best practices and security standards. Manage dependencies and ensure that the platform is free from known security vulnerabilities. Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the Web Fabric platform, including architectural diagrams, API documentation, and developer guides. Develop and deliver training sessions to stream-aligned teams on the use of the Web Fabric platform. Contribute to internal knowledge sharing initiatives, such as blog posts, presentations, and workshops. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Define and track key performance metrics for the Web Fabric platform, including build times, bundle sizes, and runtime performance. Identify and implement optimizations to improve the performance and scalability of the platform. Monitor error rates and ensure that issues are addressed promptly. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web applications. 5+ years of experience in a solution architect role, with a focus on microfrontend architectures. Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks. Strong understanding of module federation and related technologies. Experience with build tools such as Rsbuild, Vite, or Webpack. Experience with state management libraries such as Zustand and TanStack Query. Experience with testing frameworks such as React Testing Library and MSW. Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with stream-aligned team topologies is a plus. Experience with design systems and UI component libraries is a plus. Experience with e-commerce platforms. Experience with the Bell Experience Multibrand Design System.
