Tanium Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the configuration and management of the Tanium platform components (Modules such as Discover, Deploy, Patch, Inventory, Asset, Connect and Comply).

Monitor Tanium console for system health, performance, and compliance metrics.

Support patch deployment, vulnerability scanning, software inventory, and threat detection processes.

Create and schedule reports, dashboards, and alerts to support operational and security teams.

Collaborate with system administrators and security teams to troubleshoot endpoint issues.

Participate in Tanium client health checks and troubleshoot connectivity issues across endpoints.

Assist with writing and testing basic sensors and packages.

Support onboarding of new endpoints into the Tanium environment.

Maintain documentation related to configurations, workflows, and procedures.

Stay up-to-date with Tanium platform updates, best practices, and new modules.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

1 to 3 years of experience in IT operations, endpoint management, or security operations.

Basic understanding of Windows and/or Linux system administration.

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).

Knowledge of endpoint protection, patching, or software deployment tools.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Tanium (academic, lab, or production environment).

Exposure to endpoint tools such as SCCM or SentinelOne.

Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks or compliance standards (e.g., CIS, NIST).

Tanium Fundamentals or Tanium Certified Operator certification is a plus.
